Nekocon Payment and Badge Policy
To ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all attendees, the following guidelines apply to payment procedures and badge use at NekoCon:
1. Payment Policy
-
All credit/debit card sales must be processed through the online registration page.
-
Support for online payments will be available at the door, but we strongly recommend completing transactions prior to or at arrival using a personal device to expedite check-in.
-
Cash payments will also be accepted at the door.
-
Group badge purchases are handled on a case-by-case basis. To inquire about group purchases, please email memberships@nekocon.com. No group sales will be accepted after October 1st.
2. Badge Ownership, Transfers & Refunds
-
NekoCon badges and passes are non-transferable to other individuals.
-
All sales are final. If you are unable to attend in the year you purchased your badge, you may defer it to the following year at no additional cost.
-
Badges are non-refundable.
-
Use of a NekoCon badge or pass by anyone other than the original holder is strictly prohibited and will result in badge or pass confiscation.
-
Badges and passes may not be duplicated in any fashion.
-
All attendees must agree to surrender their badge upon request by any NekoCon senior staff member or representative.
-
When you purchase a badge for NekoCon, you are purchasing a membership for the current convention year.
3. Scalping & Counterfeit Badges
-
There will be no recompense if you are found with a counterfeit badge.
-
If you purchase a badge from anyone other than NekoCon or its official registration system, you will not have a valid membership to the event.
-
Scalping badges harms the convention and is strictly prohibited. If you witness badge scalping, please report it immediately to Registration at registration@nekocon.com.
4. Badge Visibility & Compliance
-
Badges must be worn at all times in a clearly visible manner while inside the convention center.
-
If your badge is covered, reversed, not worn, or kept in a pocket or bag, staff may ask you to display it properly or leave the premises.
-
Please consider badge placement when wearing cosplay outfits to maintain visibility.
5. Lost or Stolen Badges
-
If your badge is lost or stolen, check with Registration or lost and found located in Con Ops to see if it has been turned in.
-
If the badge cannot be located, you will need to purchase a new one at full price to continue attending the event.
6. Enforcement & Penalties
-
Failure to follow NekoCon policies, including badge and payment regulations, may result in removal from the event without a refund.
-
Serious violations may result in a ban from future NekoCon events.
-
Senior staff members may request the surrender of a badge at any time for rule violations.
By attending NekoCon, you agree to abide by these policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
