Sad News – Nekocon Has Been Postponed to 2021

Good Afternoon Cat-lovers!!

We hope everyone is having a safe and fun week so far. Many people have been wondering about the future of Nekocon in 2020 as it relates to the current, ongoing pandemic. After careful consideration and consultation with our Senior Leadership, Corporate Leadership, and our venues, we have decided that it is in the best interest of safety for you; the attendees, vendors, artists, guests, and our staff to postpone this year’s event.

Changes to this event: Nekocon 2020 will be postponed to November 5th-7th, 2021. Our theme will remain the same, and we hope this change gives you extra time to practice your Charleston!! As we verify our Guest lineup, we will announce each Guest via social media and our website.

Nekocon 2020 Membership Options:

  1. By default, your membership will carry over to next year’s event. If you plan to attend Nekocon in 2021, no action is necessary on your part! We will see you there and thank you as always for your continued support!!
  2. If you’d like to DONATE your membership fees from this year’s event to help support Nekocon’s operating costs throughout the year, your membership fee will go directly to developing and improving Nekocon for 2021. Please e-mail us at covid19@nekocon.com with the subject line of “Membership Donation” to let us know that you would like your 2020 membership to go directly to Event Support Solutions, Inc. as a donation.
  3. The last option is to request a refund. Please submit your request for a refund to covid19@nekocon.com with the subject line of “Membership Refund” by no later than August 17, 2020 at noon and we will process them in the order we receive each request.

If we do not receive communication by September 1st, 2020, we will proceed with the default option and your membership will simply continue over to November 2021.

The Embassy Suites Hotel will automatically cancel this year’s reservation for you, so don’t forget to re-reserve your rooms for November next year. The other hotels around the convention may not automatically cancel your reservation, so please check with the hotels to make sure. Keep an eye out on our website, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook for when our room block re-opens for 2021!

We wish you all a safe rest of 2020, and look forward to seeing you in 2021 at Nekocon: Ain’t No Party Like a Catsby Party!

Thank you for your continued support!

Much love,
Jeremy ‘Spike’ Stuart

As lead vocalist of D=Out, we welcome Kouki Hanamizakura as a solo performer as well at NekoCon 23!

Kouki Hanamizakura

His solo artist name, Kouki Hanamizakura, was given to him by close, personal friend Shou Kiryuin from the band Golden Bomber.

On February 18th, 2015 his debut single “I love Tokyo” was released and placed number 3 on the weekly Oricon singles chart for ballads and ranked 29 overall for the Oricon chart.

D=OUT (pronounced DOUBT) is a Japanese rock band formed in 2006.

They were able to have their major debut in 2011 with their single ROMAN REVOLUTION.

The following year, they announced their first major album MUSIC NIPPON.

Building up energetic show after energetic show, D=OUT continues to increase in popularity.  They experience changes in their member lineup, and since August 2015, they have been playing with the following members: Kouki (vocal), Ibuki (guitar), Hikaru (guitar), Reika (bass), and Naoto (drums).
