In early March of 2011, Japan suffered 2 natural disasters the likes of which the country had never seen before. A magnitude 8.9 earthquake was soon followed a massive tsunami wave which devastated the eastern coast line causing trillions in damage, and untold loss of life.
Nekocon, along with many other anime conventions, has stepped forward in bringing awareness to the plight of the Japanese people, and providing ways for you, our attendees, to help the country that brought us so much of what we love. The Staff and Management of Nekocon have chosen to support the American Red Crosses disaster relief fund for Japan.
To further support and encourage this effort, Nekocon, in conjunction with artist Jason Robinson, has created a very special and limited Tsunami Relief print which will be sold only during the convention. All proceeds from this will be donated to the Red Cross Disaster relief effort.
Each print will come with it’s own certificate of authenticity, numbered and signed by the artist. There will be only twenty-five (25) prints available to purchase at the Nekocon booth in the Vendors hall so make sure you get there early!
